Did I make a mistake in pursuing a ux design career?

I need some perspective outside of my immediate circle because they all speak like, creativity will be the next corporate super power, ux design will be invaluable once ceos realize, ect.

I think this career is dying and I feel like I should get out. I probably should have stuck with my path in stats and accounting but got sucked into how cool and trendy ux design is.

I have made progress in my career but on some days I think who actually cares about this stuff? The amount of talking around how important squares and text and buttons in an app is mind boggling. It’s literal bs.

Can people outside this career give me some perspective on it?

I'm set to attend my absn but hesitating because all I hear about is the bullying culture. Is this true?

The hospital I volunteer at all the nurses seem pretty grumpy and rude but I haven't seen outright bullying.

But I can sense that they're ready to explode. I also notice they like to get into each other’s business like intensely stare at you, talking about others behind their back, and are a bit clicky.

I’m a little worried because I haven’t had to deal with bullies since middle school.

I'm getting so much attention from white/black/spanish/european woman while living in London, but in the US I can't even get a date? What's going on here?

For some additional context: I'm Asian American, 20s, pretty outgoing and fit. I've always known I was slightly attractive from visiting Asia with my parents and getting attention there but usually receive none in the states.

I'm currently living in London and getting this amount of romantic interest has been very different compared to how it was for me back in the states. Can someone who has gone through a similar experience explain this to me? I'm having trouble coping with this new attention.

edit: spain is in europe 😭 my american brain could not comprehend 🫶

Advice on how to use my current unique situation to my advantage? Remote Expat/75K/BA in Comm

So I still have one of those remote jobs and probably won't be called back into the office anytime soon. Honestly I am loving it. I bike around the city, work from cafes, end early and go do something else. I have the occasional annoying meeting with the team where they manufacture crisis and urgency but I can deliver pretty fast and so I have lots of free time. Right now I'm wondering if I should just coast with this out here and travel asia more or find a way to return to the states. There are a few unique things about my situation however.

  1. I'm a US citizen with a B.A. from UCLA in communications but I'm located in Thailand.

  2. I've been able to somehow leverage that into a marketing analytics role in tech paying 75k usd.

I have friends working in private equity, finance and IB that don't have it good like me right now but will pay off in the long run. The thing is I feel like with my educational background the bottom could fall out whenever and I won't be able to climb back into employment in the states. Even now as I'm casually looking for jobs back home I haven't gotten a call back from any of the 500+ roles I've applied for. I'm worried because some of friends have licensure fields like accounting, nursing and law and they seem to at least have some credentials to fall back on and leverage.

I've also been fired a few times early on in my career so I'm pretty spooked continuing on like this. All the advice on here says to go into nursing, the trades, or accounting but I'm thinking maybe theres something else out there I can leverage my unique position to do?

Due to only having a BA in Comm I'd also like to go back for a Masters to solidify my position but I feel like the corporate world might have moved on without me. I also never have been the type to work the office politics and get promoted. I am just extremely lost and I'm looking for direction.

So right now I've narrowed down a few paths that look interesting:

  • MPH Epidemiology - I like the idea of data and public health and occasionally being involved in the community.
  • Masters in Finance Analysis - This would be a bit of a pivot but I'm already doing similar work
  • CPA Accounting - Seems solid? A good way to not slip backwards in your career
  • Supply Chain Masters - I like the idea of buying, managing factory relationships, and sourcing
  • Construction Management - Seems like a versatile solid career
  • Entrepreneurship - I've won a few product business case pitches in college

Please help me out guys! I am just extremely lost, I'm looking for direction, and I wonder if I'll ever make it back home to the states again.

Oxidized white ink removal Ruby laser suggestions

Hey everyone I’ve been working on this removal for the past 2 years. I’m about 7 lasers in, 4 with q switch nano, 3 with pico.

Unfortunately I have some oxidization on the white ink that was used in the tattoo. Researching points to Ruby laser being a good choice when removing oxidized ink.

Does anyone have experience with this laser and could share their experience? Thanks!
