Most accurate adaptation of the book The Count of Monte Cristo

I have almost finished this book, and I love it sm! I tried watching 2 episodes of the miniseries (to see the book come to life), but it is so inaccurately adapted. Obviously small changes here and there that comes with adaptations from book to screen. But there were changes of the whole story?

Spoiler:
The whole idea in the book is that after Edmond escapes prison, we as readers «loose» our connections with him. It is through narration clues that we can piece together the ideas and plans for his revenge. He doesn’t tell us anything and he DOESNT reveal any of his plans of hidden identities to anyone??? In the miniseries it’s literally the first thing he does. To both Jaqopo and Caderrouse up to that point. I couldn’t keep watching.

Is there an adaptation that stays true (at least in these aspects) to the original book?

Fatigue? in exame season

It’s exam season for me and I recently got diagnosed with Chrons disease. I am starting medication (injections?) on may 29th.

I have never been a person that naps throughout the day. I hate waking up feeling disoriented and confused… however. 2 days this week I made plans and went out. Both days I was only out from 9-14, but I could not function the rest of the day. It’s a constant battle trying to keep my eyes awake. I am drinking so much caffeine, because if I take a nap, I end up sleeping the rest of the day.

In the exam season this has been very troubling. I meet up with friends to study, but when I get home I struggle with keeping my head straight. It feels so indescribably heavy. I am sitting on the couch and my head keeps falling backwards and I pass out.

Does this sound like fatigue? If so does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this?

(English is not my first language, so I’m sorry if this was poorly translated)

I am currently reading about Franz and Albert and their shenanigans. Up til this point I have been soo engaged in the story, but this part is really throwing me off of my high?

Please engage me in anyway to keep going. I have been struggling through these last 5-6 chapters, and they have been so long compared to the others too??

Does this «storyline» keep going for long, or does it become more exiting/relevant?

I grew up reading and watching so many Astrid Lindgren stories; Pippi, Lotta, Ronja, Emil, Marikken etc (I don’t know the book names in English, but I believe the mc names are universal?).

Are there any long format books (not short/picturebooks) that feel like it exists within the same universe? I feel like, for example, Anne of Green Gables would exist in the same world as Emil, and she remind me a lot of Pippi.

It can be children’s literature (like Anne of Green gables) or anything really :)
