Mom trying to get me off my meds

I've been medicated for about two years now (elvanse/yvanse sorry idk the correct form in my country it goes by elvanse) and its been great, my grades improved by a lot, focusing has been a lot easier but sometimes I still struggle with day to day tasks such as simple hygiene or even remembering to take my meds.

Thankfully I did get diagnosed at a very young age (16) so that gives me more time to figure out my life and how I'm supposed to work.

Anyway, not the point.

I have this little med box, yk with each part of the box the name of the day so you can keep track of it? I currently take Sertralin 75mg and elvanse 30mg (on some days 60mg, I take double when I'm feeling down)

My mother always reminds me to take them everyday which is nice but on weekends during school time and especially now that I have graduated she's been encouraging me to not take my elvanse. I asked her why and she said "well you're not in school today, you don't need it to study or anything"

????

what?

My medication isn't JUST there for me to be able to concentrate it's there to help me with normal tasks like loading the dishwasher.

I don't think she understands that adhd literally disables me from doing stuff. It's so frustrating ive tried to explain it to her and but she doesn't seem to understand. She even suggested discontinuing my meds as "I don't need them anymore" (I'm about to start going to university in october what are you talking about 😐)

I keep telling her it's not a study "drug" for me, it makes me feel normal, it finally silences all the noise in my head and I get shit done. Is it so terrible that I don't want to be a depressed bum living in my messy bedrotten room.

Also there isn't even any benefit to discontinuing my meds, they're covered by our insurance!

Sorry for the novel I just had to get this out it's so ugh!!! Annoying.
