Post ultra recovery

How long after your first ultra did it take to feel back to normal? I'm following a training plan with a coach and did my first ultra on August 1. It was a loop style race and in total I did 37.5 miles over about 8 to 9 hours. I honestly haven't felt super sore at all, but I feel like I've just been completely exhausted. Slowly ramping back up my mileage for my next race in October and even on a 7 to 10 mile run, the legs just feel like lead. Not pain or sore but just tired. And overall just very tired in general. I keep super close track of my fueling and nutrition but maybe it's still not enough? Just looking for input from how people felt after their first ultra! Thank you!

Resting before a race

Hi all! I'm doing a 12 hour loop ultra for my birthday next week. It's my first time doing this kind of thing. I have no expectations but am attempting to do at least 8 of the 3.75 mile loops. I'm not nervous about the distance. I'll be stopping in between for fuel and rest. I've run up to 22 miles before and my regular mpw is around 30-35 . My question is-how much rest do y'all do before a run like this? I usually strength train and do other cardio during the week and my coach has me doing my regular m/w/thursday 3-4 runs during the week. The race is on a Saturday. I'm nervous about going in on tired legs. Any recs?

Hey all I see hydration vests and non clear bags are not permitted at broad street. Is a running belt that holds a phone and keys allowed? Thanks and good luck to everyone running !
