WIP space station and my first time applying flocking!

It's been slow going, but this bad boy should be done soon!

Did the paint+watered down PVA method and I think it's worked well! Now all I need is a wash on the hull and buildings + some paint touch-ups on the ground and rivers...

Can I have photos of the oldest bit of terrain you've still got?

This is a hobby where people often have minis and armies from decades back, but I'm interested in seeing whether anyone's got old terrain that they still use/still display/still have sitting in a box somewhere.

Is it something you made out of cereal box and craft glue after reading the old GW terrain book as a kid, or something from just a couple of years ago? Is it falling apart, or still going strong after a decade?

WIP - Haven't had much hobby time recently, but I've gotten three "Dragon Knights" (probably Windriders/Shining Spears) based and started!

Just gotta find where I put the dollar store fake nails for my one with the turned head...

Got 9 more of these Tamiya raptors on sprues so I'm planning to make some more 'Riders/Spears + a couple of Warlock Skryrunners and maybe a Farseer rider too!

WIP - The Killteam announcement gave me the impetus to finally get my "Windrunners" started...

So far this is:

- A Tamiya velociraptor kit (comes with 6 raptors and it was quite cheap!)

- Acrylic nail as the saddle

- Milligreen (roughly 50/50)

I'll have to work out what to do about the oval bases if I wanna use em for killteam: probably some sort of slotting system or magnets or something!

Got absolutely destroyed by The Reclaimed in my second game: swipefor some WIPs of my Enlisted colour scheme + an AWACs plane I painted as set dressing

I rushed to unload my infantry and try and take objectives and paid the price...should have started tank-heavy and softened the board up a little, but I had a lot of fun!

WIP - Tried to take some decent photos of my kitbashed energy tank+other 10mm proxies for FSD's "Enlisted" faction...kaiju(?) for scale

Not a huge modification but it's a failed resin print of a plasma weapon, a bit of plasticard for the "blast shield" and half some kind of IKEA fitting all stuck to the original turret of one of the 1:144 Strykers I got off AliExpress.

Did a first coat on em today with some Tamiya Pearl Green, *(which I stupidly didn't realise would be so pearlescent 😂)* brought em in to take some photos and the big fella decided he had more important business: he's sleeping very sweetly now.

Start of my proxy Enlisted army - first coat!

Pic 3 - 6 was my attempts to take some pics of my energy tank kitbash: the old boy thought I was offering him something and decided to rub my hand *(dw, I gave the little fella a good pat and he's on my lap right now 😂)*

I've decided to do a somewhat-ill-advised-at-this-scale masking tape camo scheme: it seems to be working so far, it just takes ages!

Going for a kind of teal/sea green splittertarn to make these real machines look a little more scifi!

Some WIPs of how I layered the paint up on this. The last couple of pics are wider shots of the whole space station for context!

Follow up on this post.

Primed the space station and painted up the terrain in the hab domes: now I think I've just gotta get the hull painted and it'll be pretty much done!

A buddy of mine suggested looking up Adam Savage's Star Wars-style spaceship weathering (I think an oil wash deal?), so that's probably my next step!
