If you have just your four usual 2027 picks when should you trade them solidify a contending roster? During the off season, when players might be a bit cheaper? If so at what point during the off season? Or wait until a few weeks into the season when players will become more expensive, but at least you’ve got more certainty of where your season is heading?

“Assuming a 10 or 12-man league with standard scoring settings (let's say PPR), who is the last RB you'd be comfortable with as your RB1?”

…especially for middling teams in leagues where this year’s rookie draft is done.
Should we try and trade those 2027 picks to teams who are buying into the hype in order to hoover up value and production and be stronger for the upcoming season?
Or do we hang on to those picks till next year when they will be at peak value?
