New User - you can lose ground to yourself?

I’m super new (like 2 runs in), so I may not have the terminology down yet. Forgive me.

Just did my first intentional INTVL run and thought i had it mapped well, even though I forgot to start it and lost the first 10 minutes… ah well… I’ll loop back around and make it work.

Except…. Looping back around later in the run started un-highlighting within my broader area? Is that a thing?

Am I doing something wrong or is that the reality of the app and I need to account for it?

New to Runna

Hi all! Looking for some help getting started with this app. I’ve been running for a while, and am now shifting to focus on building out endurance & distance. Even registered for a half marathon this fall and using it as my goal.

Signed up for Runna to get some coaching in doing this in a healthy & effective way, but then after completing the survey and getting the plan I’m confused. I told it that the furthest I can run without stopping is say 1 mile, but that I’m consistently able to total 8+ miles without issue. I average ~13miles/week across 3 runs without my longest being up to 8/8.5.

But the first “easy run” it gave me was just “go run 3.25 miles at x pace.” ?? And the second run, my first long run the app, says “go run 2.5 miles at this pace, then 2 miles at this pace” etc.

What am I missing? Did I perhaps misunderstand the survey and answer things incorrectly? I’m not getting any “coaching” if it’s just telling me things like “you can run a mile? Cool. Go run 3.”

I’m positive it’s got to be something I’ve done wrong in setting things up, so looking for help please! Has anyone else experienced this?
