I did it a week ago. It's now day 28 and this is where we are. It's Roc Bud Pink Drip.

I genuinely have no idea what the flip is happening here, but it doesn't look like the other fimmed plants I searched here, so I probably did it wrong and right now I'm thinking I'll just stick with topping. Feeling like I stunted and mutilated her. Its hard to know what to even do at this point other than keep on keeping on and hoping she finds her courage or whatever.

My apologies to Mr Roc. I'll play it straight next time, no funny business.

This legitimately qualifies as an ugly plant. Poor Regina. 😆 She's beyond stunted at this point, and she's been overwatered to kingdom come, and was so droopy until I was able to get her into a brighter part of the tent. Now she's really perked up.

If I use this pot again, I'm going to use straight coco and perlite with no amendments. Will also drill more holes in the bottom. I will be grateful for any nugs I get off this poor creature.

I want to clarify something first:

Part of my fun with this hobby is to be experimental and follow my curiosity. I know enough about autos to know these sorts of legacy strains in auto form can be questionable, especially if they're unproven. Add in all the AI graphics, and it's a bit much, I know. But every small business in my town is using them on their literature now and it sucks, but it is what it is. Then again, this whole purchase was intended to be ridiculous and that's part of it.

I am also just genuinely curious if this guy can breed autos as well as he apparently does photos. Since there isn't much out there on his auto plants, I am willing to be a cautionary tale here. In my regular job, I also test out unproven things, so this is just how I roll.

With that out of the way, which two should I pop first? I'll be back with regular updates on them starting next month. 😅

This plant continues to amaze me. The flowers are really beginning to fatten up, and it's near impervious to stress. And I only say near, because there is a little bit of leaf tip burn, but I probably overfed her a tad. The next few weeks should be fun!

It's never boring in here, lemme tell ya. The weather is Mega Swamp Ass, and the dehu cannot keep up. But the big girl continues to thrive regardless. As for the others? Ah well...it's relative. Lol

First up is Big Hazel aka Fatality by Speedrun Seeds. Aside from a tiny bit leaf tip burn, this grow has been amazing and so problem-free. The buds are starting to fatten quite a bit. I can't imagine how corpulent she might get in the next 3 weeks.

Second is Miss Regina the owl, aka Ripley's OG by Mephisto. She's on day 21 and officially in pre-flower. It's been an adventure with her. I made some training mistakes. Namely by doing it too early, before the other growth sites were established (they're so tiny it's hilarious). So I untied her and am just gonna let her go. She looks like a little palm tree. 😆

And finally, we have the newest member of the tent, Claudette, aka Pink Drip by Roc Bud. Day 9. And damn is she a sensitive little ahole. Lol I did, admittedly, overwater her a little bit, but she got really offended by it. And she is also way sensitive to too much light, even though she was getting the same as everyone before her.

But I pointed a fan at the pot to help her dry out, and I turned off the side lighting near her to bring her par down to around 200. Now she seems much happier. Little prima donna!

Really gotta thank Witchy again for introducing me to the plant trainers (those strings you see) from Sabotage Grower. I can already tell these things are about to become my ride or die in the tent. My lower buds are getting so much more light now, just being able to gently pull the branches back a little more. They'll make LST so much better too.

I knew when I committed to a micro grow, it would be a good opportunity to practice with LST, since it's kind of necessary with such a small vessel. So I whipped out some pipecleaners, did some bending and a couple selective trims, and here we go. Let's see how she responds. 😊

After discovering a fuzzy moth caterpillar in my tent recently, I realized that my tent needed a little more protection. Because I can't have it sealed up and maintain desirable temps, and my lung room is my garage that spends a good bit of the day open, I figured this little $20 screen would do the trick. I got one that was just barely wide enough for my particular door, with one side adhered to the tent pole and the other just adjacent the door seam. Applied the velcro strips to the inside. Had to trim length to fit. Left enough to tuck into the space between the door and the drip tray. I can still zip the door shut without having to move it.

Everything inside the tent is doing great! Tiny Regina has recovered from her initial overwatering. I got a Roc Bud Pink Drip on day one today, and we're around day 45 or so Big Hazel. I anticipate she needs another month to 6 weeks.

Told a buddy earlier that if the house is on fire, I better make sure to just grab the whole veggie drawer out of my spare fridge since that's all I keep in there now.

For me, it's probably this one. The flowers are coming more fully into themselves and the plant looks like a bouquet of sparklers from overhead. 😊

Very happy with how this Speedrun is going so far. Virtually problem free. I need to learn more about scrogging before I try it again, but I am very happy with the training I managed to get on her regardless. The canopy is even and she's wide open for maximum light penetration. The net did help with that. I just used it to hold the branches a little further apart for a few days until they held, so she's as lateral as she's gonna be and I gotta hope she stays out of the lights this time.

Regina update: First seed I tried on her, I messed up pulling off the little shell. Disturbed the tap root and she didn't like that. So I popped a Meph Ripley's OG in there. Now she's off to the races!

Probably one of the Dutch Passions (Trichomes & Cream or Power Plant), but I'm also going to pop one of these freebies. Probably the Twenty20 Triks F7.

I like that they (North Atlantic Seed Co) also sent me a free photo seed pack. Gonna grow Mr. King Kong outside in the spring. 😊

Now just waiting on orders from RocBud and Mephisto (had to grab a couple from the new O'z drop), and I think combined with everything I already had I should be good on seeds for many years and absolutely will not be buying a single seed again until I'm out.......... 😇👀

I've been a busy beaver (don't sue me Buc-ees) this past week or so, adding all sorts of needed upgrades to round out the rig.

I think I mentioned the side lighting before, but I nabbed an 8 pack of Vivosun bars on auction for $70 recently, and that has truly been a game changer. The set was missing the mounting pieces but Command velcro strips forever come in clutch. If you're already rocking 300w or better overhead, this is the single best tent upgrade you can make. Something to light under the canopy. And also great if you're trying to train. I've never seen a plant so happily bathed in light before.

Speaking of training, my go round with the Bud Clips this time around has been such a major success. I got a bit more aggressive with them this time and was able to get some great bends. The result seems to be a ton more flower sites than I remember seeing on any of my previous plants at this stage (I'll have to check my logs to be sure). I only had one stem snap on me, but I know how to avoid that now.

I also invested in the Vivosun controller brain, since I'm most invested in that ecosystem already, like many upstarts who don't want to drop AC Infinity bux on their first kit. Don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking Vivosun! I love them and have a bunch of their products outside of growing. But every time I buy an AC product, I'm never disappointed. You're not just paying for a name. They really do put a lot of love and thought into their products to make them worth the premium.

I have been able to compare their watering bases (AC is a thicker plastic), grow bags (AC fabric is thicker, with grommets, and overall higher quality), and now I'm trying an AC Infinity clip fan.

I recently had to buy another fan, because one of my Vivosuns is gummed up and won't spin at the lower speed. I bought it in May. After running two Harbor Freight cheapies for 9 months before. 🙄 I decided to spend an extra $15 on the AC Infinity Cloud Ray.

Compared to the Vivosun A6, which has 2 speeds and a mechanical switch for the power speeds, and oscillation, and is all plastic, the AC has 10 speeds for the fan, 10 separate speeds for the oscillation, a control box that sits below the fan so you can control it easily without touching the fan head, a strong heavy metal mounting bracket that will never break. I do love the Vivosun easy clip, but I fear one day I will break or drop it from my arthritic hands while squeezing it. Anyway, I will be monitoring their performance over the long haul and try to get them to warranty replace the broken one. If my pricier Vivosun stuff (mainly the lights, heater, and fans) starts dying off, I'm replacing it with AC.

Finally on upgrades, I'm deploying my first trellis net! I almost let myself get lazy about it and leave it out, but I opened the bag and saw the net was all elastic and super easy to handle (again, thanks AC Infinity, I swear I am not being sponsored! Lol).

This Fatality by Speedrun is zooming right along on day 26, and I can't wait to see her stretch. I know SRS is having their problems but this hobby is my one escape from all the stress and drama, so I'm just gonna be grateful for my seeds and enjoy my weeds. 😊

This is one very happy little plant!

3 gallon pot, Coco Loco + Grow Dots + weekly Recharge. Watering from bases using rain water. No other nutes until later in flower, I give a little bump of N to carry it through.

300w light overhead + 100 w of additional side lighting.

Popped on day 3. Topped around day 18. Training with Bud Clips (about to add more . I was noticing pre-flower sites on day 21. Truly, a great grow so far.

This is the Arizer Extreme Q. I've so far put Ravenberry and Hubbabubbasmelloscope x Ripley's OG through it.

The terps on the Ravenberry are almost overwhelming. I'm still trying to deconstruct the experience other than it tastes exactly like it smells. Incredible.

The Hubba is giving so many banana and grapefruit notes that I didn't notice smoking it in a bong. I love it even more now.

I was just complaining to Witchy that I wanted to pop another seed but I wanted to leave enough room for my big plant to expand.

Went to an antique mall and saw this little owl planter and I knew what I must do.

These remain the most interesting chocolate chip cookie I've ever had, and I have eaten and made more than my fair share. I think they're probably using corn starch with the flour. And maybe cake flour? But how are they getting that shape? They're like round and square all at once. 😂

This plant was sprouting 3 days after I planted her and she's been loving life in the tent. I finally added a humidifier, and that has made a big difference, I think. Also growing in a 3 gallon pot instead of a 5, and I think that also brings faster overall rewards. She's growing so fast I nearly missed the window to top her. 😂 Always such a stressful moment for me. It's like I'm the one being trained. Haha
