I’ve been thinking, in which IF the plot simply wouldn't happen if it weren’t for the MC? Essentially, if the MC never existed.
Let me explain what I mean. For example, there is a group of friends, and it falls on them to save the world from demons. If the MC were just part of the team but then ceased to exist, nothing would really change. Someone else would just step up as the leader. However! If, according to the plot, the MC is the only one who holds a key inside them capable of closing the portal to demon's world, that’s a completely different story. No one else can step into MC's shoes and take their place.
So, in your opinion, in which games does the MC play an irreplaceable role?
ps. I understand that IF games can't exist without MC, but in my opinion, in many cases the leadership role could be taken, for example, by one of the ROs or another important plot character.
I hope he is a yearner. Like the yearnest yearner. Even more than Casper. I want him to be head over heels for MC. I want him to love, desire, yearn, be jealous. Release all his pent-up feelings onto MC.

After playing "The Freak Circus", I wondered if there are any more yandere games where the yandere falls in love with the MC for a reason. Not just "because," but because of action/phrase/deed? Speaking of TFC again, at the very beginning, the main character helped Pierrot, which is why he fell in love. If MC doesn't help, it leads to bad end. So I'm curious, thanks for any recs!
