PX13 GoPro Edition with a PD USB4 dock and official power adapter

Hello! I am looking for a USB4 dock for my PX13 GoPro Edition (it's a great machine, thanks ASUS for designing and making these wonderful products!). Since most, if not all, of the USB4 docks are supplying power to the host, I am a bit worried about using the laptop with the dock and official 200 W power adapter attached at the same time. I remember some of the earlier ASUS laptops (G14 2020?) could be damaged if one tried to use them with a PD dock and the official power adapter simultaneously attached.

Most of my work will load the CPU (and sometimes also the GPU) heavily, so up to 100 W provided by the dock will not be enough for the laptop and I will need full 200 W.

I would be very grateful if anyone could confirm it's safe to use this laptop with a PD USB4 dock when the proprietary power adapter is also connected. Any input from ASUS staff is welcomed!

CalDigit Element 5 Hub and ASUS ProArt PX13 GoPro Edition

Hello! I am considering getting an Element 5 Hub for my PX13 (it's a GoPro edition from this year) and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with using it with this laptop or PX13 laptops in general. I am concerned I might fry the computer by plugging in simultaneously the dock and the official 200 W power supply which is shipped with the laptop, as it would happen to some older ASUS laptops (G14 2020 I think). Apparently this seems to be solved now, but I am struggling to find a very definitive confirmation it's safe to do so. There are reports of the laptop being fried by the dock (not specifically a CalDigit one!) after the USB-C cable is knocked, so I am still a bit worried.

Most of my work will load CPU (and sometimes also GPU) pretty heavily, so 90 W provided by the dock will not be enough for the laptop and I will need full 200 W. Also, I use several USB4/USB3 external drives daily, so a long term work without a proper dock is not an option.

I would be very grateful if anyone could confirm it's safe to use this dock with PX13 when the laptop's proprietary power adapter is also connected. Any input from CalDigit staff is welcomed!

PX13 GoPro with a PD USB4 dock and official power adapter

Hello! I am looking for a USB4 dock for PX13 GoPro Edition (considering CalDigit Element 5 Hub). Since most of the USB4 docks are supplying power to the host, I am a bit worried about using the laptop with the dock and official 200 W power adapter attached at the same time. Many of the workloads I run stress the CPU up to 100%, so I do need the official power brick and wouldn't want to rely on ~90 W delivered from the dock. However, I remember some of the earlier ASUS laptops (G14 2020?) could be damaged if one tried to use them with a PD dock and the official power adapter simultaneously attached.

I wonder if anyone had any experience of using Element 5 Hub (or other similar PD dock) with PX13 and could possibly confirm that the dock wouldn't fry the laptop if the official power adapter is also attached?
