Is powdercoating possible for items that also contain carbon fibre?

Hello, everyone. I'd like to refresh an old bicycle frame that has a combination of Alloy for the main part and a carbon fibre rear seatstay that's joined via a lug with the rest of the frame.

My main concern is whether the oven temperatures used for curing the powdercoat would affect the carbon fibre (the epoxy and the glue).

This would be done by a specialist, but I figured I'd try to find out whether it's possible before bothering to reach out.

Thanks in advance.

Puncture-resistant, fast rolling tyre recommendations

Hello, everyone. I've "inherited" a Brompton from someone who moved overseas and, while I find it amazingly good fun, riding* it is certainly a chore (the fact that getting into town is at least 20km each way is certainly not helping).

Now, it's equipped with the infamous Schwalbe Marathons. Never had a puncture on them. However, they're also pretty terrible to ride on so I was wondering whether you guys can recommend a decent compromise that would get me rolling faster.

Now, I've been cycling for nearly 20 years and Brummers is one of my seven bikes. And on one hand, if GP5000 existed in Brompton size, I would probably do it. On the other hand, given the much smaller circumference, those theoretical tyres would wear out insanely fast.

So here I am, seeking your wisdom and experience for a reasonable compromise between puncture protection and speed/comfort.

Cheers!

[OC]Yes, it's the Wotruba church again

After knowing about it for years and visiting Wien a few times, we got on our bikes and rode up to it.

It's impressive to see in person but also understated. And it was much smaller than I expected. But being able to admire all of its edges in person was a treat.

And yes, I went for the black and white cliche. The concrete was yellowish.

While the construction took place between 1974 and 1976, its architect, Fritz Wotruba never got to see his accomplishment finished as he died in 1975. And I do wish we has the chance to see it at night, illuminated from the inside.

That's about it. I guess I'm happy for the Rouvy team, it seems that every online company's founder's dream is to be bought out by a bigger fish and cash out.

I'd say enshittification will ensue, but I've already requested my account deletion, so I won't be around to live it.
