What a dilemma on the first shop

I obviously took the voucher…
I’m completing the generation and type challenges, alternating between the two. Here’s my mono Gen 2 attempt.
Not a huge amount to say about this one, Heracross just swept everything, the rest of the team probably had sub-30 kills.
The double quick claws came in clutch in the last rival fight and against Lance. Amnesia + baton pass from Furrette had some moments but mainly it was just roll for XSpeeds and sweep with Heracross. Swords Dance wasn’t even needed when you have Skill Link.
Mono fighting, by far my least favourite type, next!
I’m completing all the Gen and Type challenges, alternating between them and avoiding using mons that already have a ribbon. Here’s my mono-normal attempt.
This took me quite a few iterations to get a team that could go far. Having said that, this particular run was a breeze.
Snorlax: the main tank/carry against special threats and Eternatus. Double silk scarf helped massively here. I got the Max form around 170. Completely trivialised the Eternatus fight with triple Amnesia into Belly Drum.
Dubwool: hidden gem. Cotton guard with Body press go Brrrrr. Basically Snorlax for physical threats.
Drampa: developed a soft spot for him during this run. Makes the first 100 or so waves easy with Core enforcer. After that started to struggle due to low speed, but still had a few clutch moments and good coverage.
As for the others, Dodrio put in a lot of work with some Swords Dance sweeps, the others were late catches and were sadly just switch fodder.
Managed to complete an Elite Four that included Rock, Steel and Fighting just to add to the challenge!
Mono-Gen2 next!
As per my previous posts, I’m alternating Generation and Type challenges, using Pokémon I don’t have medals on.
Khanga basically swept this entire run. I didn’t even have his passive or mega until 192 but I did have multi lens, so kind of a budget mega. Drain punch was really useful and helped stall most fights. He solo’d every rival fight at full hp.
Eternatus was just power up punch twice and trailblaze once for +6 attack and +3 speed then spam covet and drain punch.
Starmie and Ratticate both had some clutch fights, with Ratticate saving the run against the evil team at 60 when I was too greedy with potions.
Dugtrio was a starter but it’s so frail I couldn’t get a good angle on it. It probably didn’t land more than 5 moves all run.
Paras and Golem were late catches and didn’t contribute much.
Next is mono-Normal!
