How Is the Pre-Built Version of the Framework Laptop 13 Pro cheaper than the DIY version with the same configuration?

I had initially put down a pre-order deposit for the Framework 13 Laptop Pro, and I had gone with the DIY just because it was, at least for the starting prices, cheaper than the pre-built option. Recently when I was of looking through the website and checking out the pre-built option, I saw that when choosing the Ultra X7 chip (which is the configuration I also chose on my DIY model), it came with 32 GB of RAM standard. I then checked, and with both laptops having the following specs: Ultra X7 358H, 32GB Memory, 1TB Storage, and Linux/Bring Your Own OS,(and the translucent black bezel cause it comes with the pre-built and I want it anyways) the Pre-built price is $2,099 while the DIY price is $2,223 (this is selecting the cheapest 1TB storage on the site). Is there a difference in the memory or mainboard provided with the DIY than the Pre-built? I feel like I'm making some kind of mistake.

M5 Macbook Pro ($1500) vs Framework Laptop 13 Pro ($2200)

Hi, I'm a cybersecurity student at University, and I've been in the market for a new laptop. I'm already on the preorder list for the Framework Laptop 13 Pro, and I really like the idea of being able to run Linux natively. However, I feel like I'm overassuming how important it is to run Linux natively as a cybersecurity major. I just discovered today that if I trade in my current MacBook Air, I can get the M5 MacBook Pro for about $1,500. Now I'm really on the fence between being able to have a Linux-designed and designated laptop versus another machine, which is about $700 cheaper and has multiple times the performance of the Framework. Both of these machines would have 32 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage.
