This one is in a natural tone, and in China people sometimes even call this kind of raw lizard leather the “mini Himalaya” — because the gradient and texture feel surprisingly similar, just in a quieter way.

It’s not loud, not flashy, but it has that kind of detail that grows on you the longer you look at it.

A fresh batch of Himalaya-style Niloticus crocodile just arrived from the tannery.

What makes this leather stand out is its signature gradient — milky white through the center, fading into taupe-grey at the edges. Combined with the natural belly scale pattern, it gives the skin a very distinctive look before it’s even made into a bag.

This type of crocodile works especially well on structured H styles where the front panel can fully showcase the color transition and scale symmetry, especially Birkin 25 / 30 and Kelly 25 / 28.
