Problems with the subscription

Didn't know where else to post this as it is mostly to do with the crossword and I have been trying to contact customer help for the past week. I bought the annual subscription a bit more than a week ago (the money definitley left my account and my icloud account has the subscription on record)

and have been having problems ever since: every time I leave the app and come back it seems as if I didn't have the subscription at all. I then have to start the paying process again when it finally tells me that I already have it. It wouldn't be such a big problem if that trick always worked, but ever since they don't offer the annual subscription on the home page anymore, it doesn't work so i can't do the crosswords or archive wordles.

If anyone has had the same problem or can give me some advice I would be really grateful.
