Insecticide for spraying around house....?

What do you all use, if anything, to spray around the foundation of your house in order to keep pests out of your home/garden?

I know this is a gardening forum, but we are moving into summer and we are starting to see bugs of all kinds come into our home. First time home owner here in Japan so wondering what you all do to keep the little guys at bay.

So far, in and around our home: stink bugs, spiders, one dead cockroach (that's our bad, ha), wolf spider.

I'm not on a mission to annihilate them...sort of...but just wondering how people keep critters out of the house as best as possible. Foundation sprays? Hire people?

Thanks!

…but I wear hearing aids.

Got diagnosed with otosclerosis about 20 years ago…seems to be holding stable. I wear hearing aids and need them most of the time. If they are out, I can somewhat make out what people are saying and stuff, but it’s definitely impossible for me to hear music/sounds/etc at a normal level like I used to.

I’ve been wanting to get into proper audio equipment again (I used to have separate components, speakers, etc when younger…MUCH younger). But with my journey of hearing loss, I’ve been at a loss for purchasing anything.

Just wondering if there is anyone else in this group who can relate? If so, how do you cope? If I take out my aids in my house I’d have to crank up the volume to hear things like everyone else, not to mention frequencies being missed out. I’m in Asia by the way (said I needed a flair).

What kind of spider is this…looks dangerous(?)

While cleaning out weeds today, this little guy popped up and jumped on the wall.

Now I’m from an area of the states where my first thought was Brown Recluse => DEATH BITE.

But I’m here. So, anyone know what this is? I’m down in Kyushu…

Thanks!
