Morin khuur
I’m currently working on this Morin-Khuur, it’s a Mongolian string instrument.
The name translates into horse head fiddle.
It’s mainly played in Eastern Asia on the stepped by Altai and Turkish tribes.
It symbolizes their celebration of the horse culture.
Two strings are bowed on this fret less instrument that can create about 2. 1/2 octaves and is often used to accompany throat singers.
