Rescuing a baby bird

Hey everyone. Last night I found an abandoned baby bird in Deira Island Beach. It was around 10pm and I looked for a nest anywhere closeby but Kiki (as we’ve named him/her) was left in the middle of the road. Now for those that don’t know, Deira Island Beach is a dog beach - obviously a dangerous situation for this baby bird so I didn’t wanna leave Kiki there. I have 0 experience taking care of birds, let alone one who hadn’t even grown into her feathers yet. Also I have a dog at home so that was not an option.

I tried calling Municipality and a lot of other vet centres as recommended in other Reddit posts but nobody would take her.

But finally about an hour later, I came across this Vet Center in Meydan who was willing to take her in, and keep her healthy until she could be released. The vet and man on the line, MK was extremely kind and helpful with Kiki and came over to the clinic in the middle of the night just to care for her. He also said he takes in all sorts of rescues for a small fee.

I just wanted to share this in case anyone else is ever looking for a place to keep these small animals safe.
