My interpretation is

the situation of him (my ex) stalking my social media account (almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day) was causing him stress and overthinking so he stepped back to avoid that? Could it be someone new that caught his interest for him to stop?

Context: we are in no contact after he ghosted and blocked me after an argument two months ago and we haven’t spoken since
