Grief support?

Hey guys, my family just lost my mom on Saturday and my dad isn’t taking it well at all. I’m worried about him. Does anyone know of any grief support services or groups in the area? I want to help him as much as I can but I’m truly not equipped to deal with this myself, let alone while processing my own emotions.

Thank you in advance.

Faith in humanity restored

Happened in Los Angeles. Yesterday while running errands in the next city over, I inadvertently emptied the contents of my bag onto the street. Didn’t realize it until I was already almost home. I started tracking the airtag in my wallet and saw it moving around town, meaning someone had picked it up. I figured the cash was gone but I still wanted the wallet back, as it was a birthday gift from my good friend. We were about to get in the car to start following it around when I realized it was actually moving closer to my location. A few minutes later, a middle aged man shows up at my door and hands me back not just my wallet, but EVERYTHING I dropped on the street. He even gave me back my blotting sheets and receipts from Japan I saved as a memento. I tried to give him a $20 for his troubles and gas, but he refused to accept it. Just told me to have a nice day and left.

I was extremely grateful but I wish I could thank him even more. My mother just received a devastating diagnosis last week and we’re all still reeling. Losing my wallet and the money would have been the cherry on top of the shit sundae my life has been recently. So thank you again, kind stranger.
