Darkwater Report Card; from a beginner.

Totally give this game an "A"

I got Dark Water for Christmas, painted them all by March. Then painted some more WH40k things. I got around to playing Dark Water 3 weeks ago. Playing with wife and son. We are having a blast. This game is fantastic. Of course I had read this that and the other, lots of hate on YouTube. Its fun. Bottom line spent hours painting. Will spend hours playing.

Our first run through we died in ACT 1. It was silly. We are injured and one scenario into ACT 3 now.

I just wanted to report that it is a lot of fun. Easy rules. The characters are fun. The loot is fun, the puzzles and quests are quirky and fun. Its my first WHQ game, really any game of this type.

I had D&D and tried to play with my kids who are just a bit too young, they bickered and killed each other. A campaign with no DM puts the kind of guardrails I needed on a game like this. Who knows, maybe we will get crazy and play Gloomhaven.

Emberguard Rivals Decks - Am I missing something?

Hello, new to the game. Love to paint the minis, got plenty of warbands. I think I've got the rules of the game down, but I feel like I'm missing something. It seems like during the power phase I've got a bunch of garbage cards in my hand. I'll go several power phases without using any cards, its wild - I have a digital copy of Underworlds Shadespire on steam and it seems like cards are way better. Am I missing somethin?
