Can someone please tell me how therapy helps ppl with suicidal thoughts like everyone tells me to go get help but I’m more terrified of speaking about it than death itself!

I have been thinking of suicide for years and it’s not like something really bad happened to me, my life is not perfect far from it but not as bad as other people but this thought keep coming back to me and I find myself getting a knife or a rope every time and I don’t really know if I want to live or die I am kinda scared of how I think it’s getting out of control I’m in the middle of work and this thought is creeping into my head until it hurts. Dose anyone else have the same experience…
