In the pay by the pound bins at my local thrift store.

Found this homemade quilt for about $1.50. My son is a collector of quilts so will go to him.

Photo paper tip

I’m new to cyanotype and have been using watercolor paper. Recently, while thrifting, I found unopened packages of printer photo paper. A package 50 ct package of 19”x13” was $6 and a 100 count of 4”x6” was $3. I figured it was a small investment for an experiment. The larger paper is matte and the smaller glossy. Both took the cyanotype solution well. They turned bright blue as they developed, not the chalky grey. I was skeptical but am
pleased with my first couple of attempts.

My tip, always check the office and craft supplies section at the thrifts.
