The state of this game is laughable...

I don't care about my death at the start, but holy shit, every single one of my teammates just stood still and were rinsed in less than 60 seconds by the enemy AI. Embarrassing.

When is it ever okay to give up on a family member that has BPD?

My mom was diagnosed with BPD approximately 10-15 years ago, and since then it's been an absolute rollercoaster for everyone in our family. She went from being a loving mother who, while having some issues with emotional regulation, was all-in-all a great person to have around. Quite quickly, she's become almost insufferable.

She's ruined several relationships for herself within our family because of things she's said/done, she often makes attempts on her life and ends up in a business-as-usual type of attitude when she gets discharged from either the ER or a psychiatric centre, and only cares about when she gets to go home, rather than seeking help. Many people in our family have tried to have earnest conversations with her about her getting help, and she either changes the subject, makes jokes, or just simply does not care.

I recognize that BPD is an incredibly complicated and tough thing to live with, but she has not done anything to help herself. She isolates herself and does not leave her house, she does not take any steps to seek therapy, she seemingly could not give a solitary fuck about what anyone says to her, regardless of how grounded and reasonable it is.

I'm pretty well fed up with her at this point and done caring, along with other members of our family, because if she does not care, then why should I. But, she is still my mom, and she is living with one of the worst mental illnesses someone could have, so I feel like I owe it to her to not give up.

What should someone do in this situation?

Can anyone recommend a psychologist, therapist, counsellor, etc., for treating agoraphobia?

I've done some looking around already, but agoraphobia is very uncommon and a lot of professionals may only have surface-level knowledge of agoraphobia (speaking from experience with a counsellor I saw a few years ago). I'm looking for someone that maybe has experience with a specific person, or maybe someone they know that has been treated for it. Thanks in advance.
