Is it possible to make this any clearer?
Putting together a slideshow for my grandmother’s funeral and I love this memory but the photo is such poor quality. Would greatly appreciate any improvement ❤️❤️
Anxiety or actual medical concern? Worsening fainting episodes
32y/o cisgender female, 6’2”, 170lbs
Non smoker, rare drinker, occasional edible marijuana user
On Escitalopram, pregabalin, iron supplement, and recently started bupropion (but doesn’t coincide with medical concerns)
Vegan, very iron deficient, active
Not necessarily seeking medical advice, but seeking thoughts on whether I should seek medical attention
A few important points:
\- I’ve always had major health anxiety and fainting is fairly common for me.
\- I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist in September for episodes of abdominal pain, diarrhea, and nausea. But I’ve also dealt with this since at least high school, I only finally sought care because it was worsening.
The issue in question:
Recently I’ve had two fainting episodes, about 2 weeks apart. The first one involved my boyfriend being violently ill and having to drive him to the hospital while he was vomiting. The second one was yesterday while at the hospital with my grandma, while all they were doing was turning her onto her other side in bed.
While I’ve had emetophobia as long as I can remember, it’s never made me pass out. And fainting while they turned my grandma seems insane.
My real concern is that I feel soooo sick for days after I faint. Mostly nauseous with no appetite, but also extra fatigued. And this time around I have a headache but this could be due to all the crying. I used to bounce back quickly after.
Should I seek separate medical attention while waiting for my GI appointment? Or wait and see what that tells me? The appointment is the initial consult but will eventually have an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Could it be just my anxiety?? Orrrr do I have cancer?
My boyfriend is in the hospital and I can’t be there to support him :(
My partner has a GI issue that has hospitalized him over 20 times in his life. This is the first time it’s happened in the 4 years we’ve been together. He’s been vomiting all day but was resisting going to the hospital. Finally, after he had been in and out of the hot shower for like 2.5 hours, we decided to go. I drove him to the hospital and he vomited so many times on the way that I had to pull over because I felt like I was going to pass out and throw up, and I couldn’t drive safely. We were just across from the hospital so my poor babe walked himself to emergency while I sat in my car with the ac blasting because I was so sweaty and needed time to regroup.
Since getting here he’s vomited several more times, each time more violent and painful-sounding. They finally admitted him to a room and I’ve been back in my car for like an hour because I felt so sick and panicky again. I feel like a horrible girlfriend and have been trying to work up the courage to go back in, especially now that he has likely been given meds and should be more comfortable. But I’m so scared :(((((
