No winners or losers.
Pull me once: a formal affair;
Pull me again: you'll gasp for air.
What am I?

Pull me once: a formal affair;
Pull me again: you'll gasp for air.
What am I?
A kingdom built upon its grain,
With crimson spilled upon its plains,
Yet from the blood that once was shed
Soft white in green still rears its head.
What am I?
Skin to skin but you couldn't wait when the other woman called,
And when I looked back, at last I saw the places where I'd walked.
Who are you?
With your thumb though my eye,
And my face black and blue,
I ask through fishhook'd lips:
"So this is art to you?"
I can start things off fast,
But then slow to a hop,
I can fell mighty foes,
At ten or two o'clock,
I leave seven sisters,
For the end of our plane,
To don a brand new robe,
And helm a brand new reign.
What am I?

Oh I could sew had I but thread
Could serve a treat 'pon my child's head
My blood could boil your morning brew
My bones could yours at last entomb.
What am I?
So first of all, I'm not an ARTIST artist. But I love writing, and I draw as a hobby, so after sitting on a bunch of manuscripts I'd written for picture books for a long while, I decided to just draw them myself in ProCreate. And then after an even longer while of reading the books to my students digitally, I decided that I wanted physical copies I could show people.
So I bought a bunch of scrap books from the 100 yen store, printed out my drawings at the convenience store, cut them up along the margins (which I also made in ProCreate), and stuck them down with double sided tape. And to finish it off, I printed out a cover on sticker paper and I had my dummy picture books!
The in progress pics are from a few different picture books I made, but the art I'm most happy with is of that Cat book which I made to teach my students about adjectives in English.
