What's going to happen to VIA RAIL SW Ontario service when Alto takes over VIA RAIL corridor operations?

https://tc.canada.ca/en/binder/08-high-speed-rail

"Alto will present an initial progress update by Spring 2026 and final options and recommendations for Southwestern Ontario to TC by Fall 2026."

EDIT: Add on question, what will happen to VIA RAIL current Ottawa to Montreal service through Doval?

Alto is hiring!

If Phil from Metrollinx is getting a job at Alto, I feel like others who have concrete accomplishments should have no trouble.

If you are passionate about Alto project, you should at least check out their career page

This one below is quite interesting. Too bad I am not a lawyer so don't qualify.

What insurance they're buying? Liability insurance when they do field survey and environmental assessment?

Senior Director, Disputes Resolution & Insurance

How many HEP coaches VIA still have for corridor operation? Will there be legacy consists after LRC cars retirement in 2027

What will happen to the P42s after LRC sunset in 2027?

Hopefully once Long haul fleet starts delivery in 2031, some extra HEP coaches can be freed up for corridor. HEP has until 2035 before they're decertified by TC right?
