Best weekly planner/schedule display?

Hi all,

I really want to provide more visibility and structure for my adhd son (6). That is also quite easy to maintain for me (also adhd). I see so many options online and I just don't know what's a good choice.

Im leaning towards a magnetic white board and I want it to be quite large and that it comes with tons of magnets.

Any advice or suggestions? What has worked for you?

Two magical wins in the first two days on medication

My son is turning 6 on Monday. And I've finally after a 3 year battle got him on medication.

Today was day two.

I already saw two very remarkable things happen:

He got startled when my dad was playing with him and he pretended to drop him. Normally he would scream angrily, run into the hallway, slam the door and be totally unmanageable and angry and rude for 20 min.

Now he sat at the table with us and cried and let my dad apologise to him after which they joined up to play the next game boys vs girls.

Today I was talking to him about what to say if he received a birthday gift he didn't like. He normally would've purposely sabotaged the role playing and questioning with wrong answers or he just wouldnt have really interacted at all.

Today he actually responded and interacted and even asked more questions about it after we were done 'what do I say if I like it but I already have it?'

It's fucking amazing! My sweet boy is in there as I ofc knew. But he can finally be him. And he seems so happy about it too!

Please help my 6 year old changed abruptly

I have no clue what happened. Like a light switch went off he is suddenly extremely angry and defiant. He used to be relatively happy go lucky and quite compliant (for what you can expect of a 6 year old with ADHD) but all of a sudden he is behaving very strangly. Extremely angry. Very disruptive. Making growling noises and faces. There has to be something going on. We are getting his medications this Friday but I'm scared that besides adhd something else is going on and whatever the results are going to be of the first trial is not gonna be reliable because of this underlying issue. He doesn't want to talk about it or just says nothing is wrong apart from him feeling 'happy and angry' .

I'm terrified, my mind is going from birthday jitters (his bday is Monday) to brain tumors, PANDAS, or schizophrenia or some kind of traumatic event that happened that I'm not aware of)

I don't know what to do or how to respond.

My son is getting medicated in June. He's having a rough day at school today. Being rude, throwing stuff, rolling on the ground whatever. I get these messages and its honestly one of the most stressful things for me.

I guess I'm just looking for some hope and some pick me ups because this shit is really getting me down.

My son is 5 now, will be 6 end may which is why he will get meds then (country regulations). I just feel so sad and alone in this sometimes.

My son and I have been playing Minecraft now for a few weeks. He really loves it (so do I btw) we would like to look into some addons but there are so many options. We have to do it via Microsoft Store because we play on Xbox. The explanation on the addons is super limited and I don't know which ones are really fun and suitable.

My kid mostly plays in creative and is very 'lets start over' so not really building one giant world. He likes to make buildings and adds mobs in them to see if they fight each other. Or make me rollercoasters with minecarts etc.

He likes TNT and blowing everything to pieces. I hope you catch my drift and kind of understand the kind of gameplay he likes.

He needs to use his own money for this addon so I'm trying to make a good preselection for him.

I hope you can help! Much appreciated!
