I have been composting at my house and i live in a wooded rural area with black bears. I make sure to not put any animal products in my compost. I had two compost tumblers but a bear absolutely destroyed my compost tumblers. I instead set up a metal wire fenced in compost system. The bear this morning also just destroyed this compost fencing.

Is there any recommendations to stop the bears from destroying my compost. Is there any merit to just making a compost pile and letting the bear have at it? I know compost can paralyze dogs, can it paralyze and hurt the bears?
