Value of certification

Hello, I am someone with a 6+ years of experience in software testing and backend. I am currently trying to pivot away from coding and looking into positions like Product Owner. I see CSPO certification being brought up as a way to stand out in applications, however it is not a free course. While 400 is not exactly breaking the bank, I would love to know if anyone here has any experience with this certification or whether it actually helps in getting interviews and landing the position. There are other certifications as well like PSPO, so I would appreciate any advice on this.

Some more background if needed: B1 German, Masters from Germany and work ex all in Germany as well.

Round 2: Termination Agreement from work

UPDATE: Spoke to the lawyer, and this is the information I got:

  1. I need to negotiate the language of the agreement heavily for the outcome to be in my favour (reason for termination, severance amount, reference letter, and NDA)
  2. I can take my chances by rejecting it, but the company can also just terminate my contract and take their chances in court. Proceedings usually take a long time.

I am torn between retaining a lawyer to negotiate the terms and then signing it, or rejecting it and gamble with my mental health by staying.

At the end of last year, I was offered a termination agreement from my company, citing poor performance evaluation for the first time in 3 years.

After consulting with a lawyer, I decided to reject the offer, and continued with my company. It has been 6 months since and aside from some health issues that kept me from work for a couple of weeks, I have done all I can to improve my performance. However, the overall evaluation has not changed.

2 days ago I was called into another meeting from HR and offered a new termination agreement.

Changes from previous agreement:
Severance offered has been increased significantly. but only valid if signed within a week. Otherwise it will drop by 25%

I have been wanting to get out of the industry I am in for a while now, so the offer is not bad on its face value. However I have some significant concerns:

  1. I just submitted my citizenship application last month. Accepting this will be taking a huge risk of not finding a new job within the gardening leave period (3 months) and putting my application on pause.
  2. Accepting it will bring on all the same issues of ALG1 being put on hold for 3 months, also I don’t know how this will reflect on my citizenship application that I am already on assistance programs.
  3. Would there be come massive issues if I end up taking a much less paying jobs (since I am trying to pivot to a new industry) and how would that reflect on my citizenship application.

From my previous experience of talking to lawyers (I have since gotten legal insurance), I realise that I can always reject the offer and continue unless they have legal grounds for termination, however I have already been working for 6 months with this cloud over my head which is not pleasant. How should I navigate this?

I will be accelerating my job search and try to pivot as soon as possible, however with the citizenship application being processed and the possibility of going on ALG1, I need some advice on what would be the safest and best choice.

How do rolling internet contracts work?

So I made a mistake a few years ago of signing up for Glasfaser with Telekom. The idea was to use DSL connection until the entire infrastructure is built, and then switch to Glasfaser. After painstaking 2 years, I finally have Glasfaser installed in my apartment building and the Abschluss termin is here.

I want to cancel this Glasfaser contract, asap. However when I spoke to Telekom kundencenter, they said that once abschluss Termin is successful, my DSL contract will automatically get cancelled (yay!), and my Glasfaser contract will start automatically for the next 2 years and I will be locked into it with no chance of cancelling before the contract even begins.

Is this correct? I really want to get out of Telekom connection and I am really hoping that this will help me end both contracts and switch ISP. Is there any recourse?

This is very disappointing given how prominent Commerzbank is in Germany. Is it because of their pending takeover?

Ideal combination of ETFs for diversification?

Hi. I am late to the investment world. I am 35M from Germany and starting slow, with only 250-300 a month investments, along with one lump sum of 2-3000 annually. What ETFs should I pick for best diversification? At the moment I only have:

  1. FTSE All World(Acc)

  2. VanEck Developed Market Dividend Leaders EUR (Dist)

Should I just stick to these two or look for more?

Ultimate goal is to build a decent nest egg before hitting 50.
