song I've been working on for a bit (dream pop/indietronica/neo-psych)
a noise pop/rock demo I've been working on, would like feedback on both the music AND the visualiser
the song is called "shift your focus!" and it's part of a project that's set to release next year, I would love to know if you love it
People need to stop acting like CSH is still a "bandcamp small artist" band.
I feel like this community still sees CSH as the project that got Will Toledo as this super angsty teenager writing Twin Fantasy and Monomania and a bunch of his friends playing other instruments with him, like this 2015-16 version of the band that kept living on demos and songwriting from 2013-14 Will. But it's 2026 for God's sake and everyone needs to grow up alongside the project.
I'm pretty sure the band and Will in general has grown a lot in the past 10 years and has took a lot of maturity, maturity that gave way for Will to try and revisit his old projects or even start doing more conceptual and fixated stories, cause when you're in your 30s, it's probably best if you stop singing about high school and college. If your mind is still stuck on Twin Fantasy and HTLT, or even Nervous Young Men, so be it, but please, this band has EVOLVED and turned into a full 4 piece, not Will Toledo's musicians only. So please, don't complain that this isn't Twin Fantasy, that this is too grown up for you, pre-2020 CSH and post-2020 CSH isn't the same band at all.
I personally liked how Teens of Denial has grew for Will, Ravenous House in it's now remade form grew on me since first listen. It's maybe not the best thing to have remixed and changed Teens Of Denial out of all 'early CSH writing'-albums there are to pick, but still it does the trick. I'm sure if some people of this community are willing to give it a listen forgetting pre-2020 Car Seat Headrest albums in the lot, there are quite a few chances you will actually understand it and like it even.
The Ballad of the Costa Concordia (2016) vs. The Ravenous House (2026) playing in different ears so you can notice the differences.
Left ear: "The Ballad of the Costa Concordia" from the original Teens Of Denial (2016)
Right ear: "The Ravenous House" from Teen Of Denial (Joe's Story) (2026)
You can notice a few differences here and there, being mostly the lyrical changes along the two tracks, as well as the mixing which seems polished on Ravenous House.
