Anybody commute regularly (4+ days a week) to NYC from Patchogue or Port Jefferson station? Wondering what your life is like as I’m entertaining going to the city for more money (50% to 60% overall raise). Do you have kids? How flexible is your employer? Also, please confirm you don’t pay any NYC taxes.

I’m looking at homes that have 15+ year old roofs. How long do roofs last on Long Island? Typical asphalt roof. I understand there are variables but give me what you think.
