Does Karna know from the beginning that Radha and Adhiratha adopted him?

The retellings confuse me because they all seem to handle this differently. In some versions, Karna knows he’s adopted but has no idea who his biological parents are. In others, he doesn’t even know he’s adopted and genuinely believes Radha and Adhiratha are his biological parents.

The Villi Bharatham version I’ve read doesn’t seem to make this clear either. When Krishna reveals the truth about his birth, Karna says:

இன்றால் எனது பிறப்புணர்ந்தேன்

என்று என்பு உருகி…

Translation: Only today have I come to know about my birth...

So does this mean Karna didn’t know he was adopted at all until Krishna told him? Or did he already know that Radha and Adhiratha weren’t his biological parents and just didn’t know who his real parents were? And if he already knew he was adopted, why did he never try to find out who his biological parents were?

The writers' obsession with victimizing Men in Qubool Hai

So, I've only watched Qubool Hai up to the Ayan–Zoya marriage track. While I absolutely loved Asya's chemistry, KSG's acting, and all the comedy, I genuinely despise the writers for constantly giving these men the moral high ground. Almost every one of them did something awful, yet they were portrayed as victims and never really faced the consequences they deserved.

Which ITV character do you like that makes you question your own taste? 👀

For me, it's Shireen from Qubool Hai. I honestly don't know why, but she was such a mood, especially in the early episodes 🤣😭

Genuine question... what's with the Shaheer hate?

Is Shaheer hate on this sub actually justified, or are people just being way too biased? Genuinely curious to know what you guys think.

If the Kauravas Had Been Spared, What Should Their Punishment Have Been?

What do you think would have been the most appropriate punishment for the Kauravas, if not death, for what they did to Draupadi during the cheerharan and for all the other wrongs they committed throughout the Mahabharata?

Thoughts on the New Ramayana Trailer?

How did you guys like the trailer?

My first impression: even though I like Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as actors, they somehow don't do complete justice to these characters for me. I couldn't really feel Ram's divinity in Ranbir or Sita's grace and poise in Sai Pallavi.

Maybe it's because I still can't look past Gurmeet and Ashish as Ram. They've set the bar so high in my mind.

The Actor's Perspective

Here is Aham Sharma explaining how he pulled off the infamous Cheer Haran dialogue with such conviction. He's speaking in the context of the events shown in the Star Plus Mahabharat and also shares his appreciation for Pooja Sharma's performance.

Thoughts on this?

Which actor do you think was let down by the writing of their character?

I'll go first: Jennifer Winget as Zoya in Bepannaah. Jennifer was good as always, but I personally feel the character could have been written much better.

Did This Arjuna–Karna Scene Exist in Any Version of the Mahabharata?

There is a scene in Star Plus Mahabharat where Arjun is punished by being made to wash Karna's feet. Does any version of the Mahabharata or any regional folklore actually contain this incident, or was it purely a fictional addition by the makers?

I really enjoyed some of the show's fictional addition like the scene where Karna and Arjuna smile at each other while lifting the chariot wheel together but I felt this particular addition was unnecessary.

Do you think there was a specific reason the makers chose to include it?

Which Pair Defines Chemistry for You? 💫

For me, chemistry isn't just about intimate scenes. It's in the eye contact, the banter, the way they react to each other. The best chemistry is something you can feel even when the characters aren't standing together. And two amazing actors don't automatically make a pair with amazing chemistry it's just a natural spark.

For me, effortless chemistry is what KSG and Surbhi had in Qubool Hai. Compared to most hit shows, they had very few physically intimate scenes, yet their eye contact and banter alone were enough.

Which pair is the definition of chemistry for you? And is there a pair where you thought both actors were individually brilliant, but just didn't have that spark together? Also, do share your favourite scenes or pictures where you felt a pair had amazing chemistry.

Has your opinion changed about any ITV actor this year? If so, why?

I saw a Twitter post about several ITV actors getting exposed this year, and it went pretty viral. So, I thought I'd ask this sub, has your opinion about any ITV actor changed this year? If yes, who and why?

Current ITV actors and actresses lacking screen presence?

I was trying to watch a few new shows, and I found a few good ones with acting ability, but none of them have the screen presence the old ITV actors had. They couldn't hold my attention. Like, in the earlier shows, if the heroes were on screen, your eyes wouldn't go anywhere other than them. I feel none of the current ITV actors have that charm and screen presence at all. What do you guys feel?

Happy Birthday Aham Sharma !!

Happy Birthday to Aham ❤️

Over the years, I've grown to like and dislike a lot of actors in ITV, but he's the only one I've consistently loved throughout. A good actor and, from whatever I've seen over the years, a genuinely nice person too.

I know he does cringe acting nowadays but I still love him 😭 . Hopefully he'll be back with good shows and deliver like he did before.

P.S. I know I've been spamming this sub with Aham posts lately, but I promise this is the last one. 🤧
