Making change in the wake of Mirandas
Most of us are extremely upset about this situation and the best way we can feel better is to do something about it, to demand justice and change.
For better or worse, this happened in Humboldt. Like it or not the failure of these policies pass the buck around and our name is now attached.
The other issue that's brought up when talking about Humboldt is housing, then finding a place that allows pets.
Does anyone have any insight on how we can use the demand for the consideration of pets in Rentals.
I've always felt having a blanket No Pets policy forces people to give up their pets to Rescues, not to mention the safety, companionship or emotional regulation that people's mental health needs in these trying times.
If anyone has any insight on how to petition, advocate or progress any change for good that we can do as an outraged community, please advise.
Maybe something good can't come out of all this, but maybe its a opportunity for change. And for those of us lucky enough, hug your pets.
