Contact your provider to enable consumption-based AI services for your organization

Is anyone seeing this in their tenant when going to configure the new Cost management option in the admin centre? I'm not sure if it's because the tenant is linked to a CSP, if that is the case I can't find any info on how a CSP should configure things for their customers.

The End of Consumption Packs and Bundled Agent Usage?

The Microsoft go to market information for partners for Cowork is focused on the switch to consumption billing as expected. Neither it, or any other material I've seen around the change talk about the ability to use Consumption Packs to cover the use of credits, they only talk about PAYG and pre-pay (P3). I wonder if this signals the end of Consumption Packs.

Another peculiar aspect of the Cowork launch content is the narrative that agents are usage-based, ie consumption based. There's no mention of the use of agents being bundled in a Copilot Premium license, which has been a long-running benefit of having a license. Has anyone else noticed this?

Deleted Skills - Git at Fault?

I accidentally discovered today that two thirds of my personal Cowork skills had been deleted. I found them in the Recycle Bin, deleted four hours previously with me down as the person that deleted them.

I recently set Git up on my laptop because I wanted a version controlled record of my skills. When I asked Cowork what had happened to my skills it wasn’t sure, but it noted that having Git running in a OneDrive sync’s folder can cause issues. I’ve just gone to Copilot on my phone and seen that Cowork has disappeared…

Has anyone else experienced this? Do I need a process that copies my skills to a non-OneDrive folder before synchronising with Git?

Any Experience of Microsoft Scout

Has anyone had a chance to play with Microsoft Scout yet?

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-scout/overview

The ability to work with docs and do scheduled tasks sounds similar to Cowork. The ability to run commands and automated browsing tasks goes a lot further. The requirement for a consumption based GitHub Copilot license is obviously a sign of things to come.

US only release I think for now, hoping for a wider release soon.

I span up a Hermes agent during the week but because it’s not in my work context I’m finding use cases limited. Also, my attempt to give Cowork a memory hasn’t worked so far.

Cowork Computer Use and OpenClaw

I watched this podcast yesterday and was interested in the discussion of plugins and Microsoft’s version of OpenClaw.

https://youtu.be/dRONPOrEXhY?si=RREdu-FrmAhiA-Gu

I can see plugins in my Cowork instance, I turned on the Windows 365 one but nothing happened, there also doesn’t seem to be any documentation for it yet. I’m guessing it will ask you to provide a W365 instance to use, can’t imagine MS is just going to provide one. Anyone got this working?

Based on the conversation it sounds like we’ll see Claw in Frontier before too long. That will be really interesting to play with. Cowork can do so much it’ll be good to see what the use case for Claw is vs Cowork.

Memory with Copilot Cowork

I’ve watched various videos recently on people creating “brains” or “agentic OS” with Claude Cowork or Code. They tend to revolve around having CLAUDE.md files in a working directory that reference various skills, including one for memory. They often also use Obsidian to track all the skills in a folder structure.

Has anyone done this with Claude? Any thoughts on how to achieve it with Copilot Cowork?
