woodcut prints I did based on stones found in the Great Lakes region referred to as “fossil soup”, containing fossilized animals called Crinoids, plus other corals. Example of one of these stones from my collection included.
The opinion on creating rock towers, i.e. “cairns”, seems to be divided. I’ve encountered these while biking riding around Mackinac Island in Michigan. A quick google search says that cairns have also served to be trail-markers as well. But some people recommend that you should knock these over if you see them, as they disrupt the natural environment.
What is your opinion on these structures?
Cat Mola, based on my two cats. Printed last year but finally got around to numbering and signing this week.
