Can anyone recommend a UK file recovery service for external hard drives?

My Lacie (2018) external hard drive has suddenly stopped connecting to my macbook pro and I desperately need to get access to work files stored on there.

The hard drive itself is making all of it's usual noises and the light is on as normal but when I've checked disk utility and system data it's not showing up. I've also tried plugging it into other usb ports and even tried a different wire but still no luck.

I've used it for years so it's had a good run (if it has just had it) but as I said above I really need access to what's on there and not really sure what companies are worth going to.

Thanks!

In need of a recommendation based on the last two books I've read...

I've recently read East of Eden, followed by To Kill a Mockingbird and realised that I've sort of covered life in America from 1860s–1930s (minus the 1920s). I've loved reading those two books and want to try and either continue on the timeline or maybe explore some more perspectives in the Great Depression era.

Does anyone have any recommendations that feel in a similar world to EOE or TKAM, whether in tone of voice, region or political/social commentary? I tend to find fiction more appealing but open to trying non-fiction books as well.
