I don’t usually like my voice but enjoyed listening to this one myself (also in my native tongue that made the enunciation easier)

It’s probably not uncommon for people to hate their own voice and I’m definitely one of them. As much as I seem to have the tendency to attempt divas songs my voice is probably the opposite of that, probably something gentler and warmer will work better

This one is in Chinese, “这世界那么多人” (“So Many People in This World”) is a 2021 ballad sung by Karen Mok (莫文蔚) Its central idea is the improbable luck of finding one specific person among billions

It’s in a comfortable range for me (I dropped 4 semitones from the original) I still didn’t handle the couple falsetto at B4 well though

Stay with Me - I think I hit all the notes but still don’t like how it sounds

It’s a song I used to not able to hit those notes and now they feel ok but I still don’t like how I sound for this song;

Comparing to the original (Sam Smith), I can’t really do the vocal fries on certain words as he did, definitely something I want to learn as well

How I practice and improved my listening 👂 on numbers

Listening in any language is hard, but recently I’ve been trying to do some interpreting work for a friend, and the one thing if you know about interpreting is not only understanding what people are saying but also memorising them, and for that part I found when numbers come to the picture, my immediate brain processing is not as responsive as I thought 😭 especially I still constantly think in English numbers first 🤦‍♂️ , so I just needed to try focus on improve that

Anyway if you have the same struggle like mine, a focused training is what you need, ignore conversations just numbers and my listening on numbers improved a lot since

So focus focus focus is the key 🔑

Long numbers like mobile numbers are still hard though, can’t imagine talking about math 🥹

What’s your method?

*Edit* to make it clear I made this tool myself, but there's tons of similar tools out there I believe
