I’ve been pet sitting a cat for a few days now and will be until the following weekend. He is quite old and overweight and I’ve noticed he pees and drinks a lot (pic shows amount of litter clumping in ~36h. I’m not a vet but my friend who is mentioned it could be diabetes or at least warrants a vet visit.

Just wondering if this is something I should mention to the owners? I just don’t know if it’s my place and the etiquette surrounding this especially since I’m not an actual vet. I’m also worried about him having an episode (?) while I’m looking after him.

Would appreciate any advice!
