I just discovered I have SDAM as well as Aphantasia!!

Well there we go...looks like my brain is a nice little database, collects all these facts about things, but can can't relive past events.

I only discovered I had aphantasia earlier this year, and now it looks like I have SDAM too 😂

I genuinely had no idea that when people talked about remembering something, they could actually sort of go back and experience the memory again. I thought remembering meant knowing what happened, but not being able to see or relive it.

I know loads of random facts from my life. I know I “married” Campbell Beers in P4 with a traffic light ring and a packet of Spangles. Can I relive the actual event? Nope. No idea what I wore, what anyone said, what happened before or after. I just know it happened.

I just thought I had a bad memory that would throw up random facts now and again. But I genuinely can't visualise anything, I can't reclll specifics, only that vague sense of a ghostly still photo, so I don't know if I am making a memory from a photo of if I am remembering it.

The really weird bit is that I can simulate things really well. So I can take the bits I do remember, fill in the gaps with what probably happened, and end up not entirely sure which bits are memory and which bits I’ve inferred.

Anyone else got both? And how did you realise?

I shot my own video in the foot by publishing at the worst possible time 😂

I shot myself in the foot with my latest video launch!!

I’m about 450 watch hours away from full monetisation and yesterday I finished a video that I thought was pretty decent and could put a good dent into those 450 hours.

BUT - It was Sunday. I wanted it out. So instead of waiting, I went “f*ck it” and published it at about 10pm.

Stupid or what?

My audience is normally most active from about 5–10pm and I usually get a decent burst when a new video goes out. Sometimes 300 views an hour, and I’ve seen it go much higher when something takes off.

This time? Look at that bloody graph 😂. It's anaemic!!!

About 600 impressions in the first 12 hours when I’d normally see around 1,200–1,700.

The really annoying bit is the CTR is around 11% and AVD is 6:04 (on a 13 min vid). So the people who ARE seeing it seem to be clicking and watching.

Obviously it might still go nowhere. Not every video works and we all think our latest masterpiece deserves an audience 😂 But I definitely didn’t give this one the best start.

New rule for me: ALL videos get scheduled. If I’ve missed the sensible publishing window, tough. It waits.

Anyone else ever got impatient and completely buggered up a launch? Is there a way to recover it, short of deleting and reuploading at a better time lol.

ChatGPT knows it's crap as a thinking partner & sounding board LOL!

So I jumped on the
"What do you want to do to me?" Bandwagon, and after telling it off for impuning me (how VERY dare it!!! lol) with "Content Violation warnings" I asked it to generate an image of our relationship so far.
I admit I get VERY frustrated with it because I need a sounding board and thinking partner (and an external visualiser for my aphantasia). Suffice to say it knows it can't stick to the questions asked and using project/system instructions are pretty much useless, which is a PITA!!! Love to know how you guys get the best out of it for personal projects!
