Mcat relationship + need help
Second day studying, second day of being tortured. Spending to much time on content comes from a place of not knowing what to expect. I’m new to everything that has came with studying for the Mcat. I have never felt tortured until this.
I am doing 3 chapters a day + 1 non cars passage and 1 cars passage and about to add Pankow p/s cards to the mix. On top of that, I have done over 100 cards in a day and feel decent about most of them besides some low yield topics. That being said, I’m not deep within this, and I’m taking 11 hours to study w/breaks. The content review is strictly eman Kaplan videos due to me doing miles down chapter organized deck. I did this plan because I have 3 months to study and am still an incoming junior next semester of college.
Tell me tips of content review, and not that it’s unimportant, it is all important and I’m learning these topics that I’ve never seen, including learning classes such as biochem I’ve never taken. Give me resources such as where to find good nmeumonics(however you spell that), tell me how long I should be taking for 3 chapters with the videos, tell me if I need to write down and draw anything I feel as important or should I just focus on writing down and memorizing super high yield things such as today I learned amino acids, should I memorize these with the mnemonics before or after the videos, same with everything else. The anki is honestly refreshing me very well with low yield topics I may of breezed over in the videos, but the high yield ones make themselves present within anki and I’m curious if I should learn these super high yield topics during the video or during anki. Like today I took forever on the amino acid video bc I was memorizing each one with no mnemonic(it helped) but should I just watch the video and then later understand it on anki?
I need yalls thoughts and mostly prayers. Give me good tips about what I asked and other info you may have that’s going to make me excel. This will not only be for me but for anyone else just starting. Thanks In advance bc I know this community is top tier.
