I did the Hackney half on Sunday and loved it. I absolutely love how the whole borough radiated positive vibes, especially when the sun was shining during the event. Do you think it would ever be possible for a road-closed, large scale half marathon to happen in South London? I have tried to map out a dream route but haven't managed to find one yet that could work, I guess with so many major roads in the area. I was thinking of the village/ start and end being in Brixton (Brockwell Park), with routes possibly going via Dulwich, Peckham... maybe Clapham way? There are lots of parks and commons, just maybe too many A roads and hills (not that hills would deter too many). What do you think? Has anyone managed to plot out a potential route that would work for this?

My mum bought me an entry as a gift. I have been emailed my start time and am in wave J which is right at the back as she had no idea about finishing times. I usually run a sub 90 mins. Is there any way to start earlier ? Or failing this, will I be able to overtake/ maintain my usual pace?
