Overt Racism Towards My Thai Wife

how do people deal with this?

this is isolated to one woman, some old bat in the park, that has it out for her.

My wife’s mandarin is good enough that she can give it back to this lady but it’s really begining to affect my wife.

my wife is here with me, american. i work, unfortunately she cannot but she takes care of the dogs. We have two pups that we rescued when we saw a truck leaving them off in the mtns and we have fostered several others.

So today she’s in the park and our boy is pooping. He has a bad tummmy. While she is cleaning it up, two dogs that are off leash come and rush our on leash dog.

She’s got a half a bag of poop in her hands yelling to the dog owner to get her dogs under control, and then this old bat steps in telling my wife that they are just playing and that she should go back to her own country and she brings no benefit.

my wife snipped back that she is a terrible person and we probably pay more in taxes than her which i am guessing is true.

my wife is emotional and won’t stand for this shit. One day when the dog was peeing, this same lady something to my wife, to which she responded “have you looked at the sidewalk? Tell your own people to clean up after themselves “

Sorry, this has turned into a rant. I am just not sure how to handle racist old people or even how to support my wife besides listening and giving her love.

is there any legal action we can take or video this old lady and put her on blast?

should we ask a local friend who’s pretty straight forward to come say something to this lady, maybe something cultural like the dead will come and haunt her 🤣?

We appreciate any insights.

We adopted a 2‑year‑old FMD mix who came to us pretty obese at 84 lbs. next week will be 3 months since we got him, and he’s down to roughly 65–70 lbs, we’ll get an updated weight later this week. After the first month he was already down to 75 lbs, which was a big drop as he wasn’t eating much, was getting regular walks, and had three rounds of parasite medication because his gut was full of them. Before we got him, he was mostly caged and fed table scraps.

We’ve been feeding him Taste of the Wild Sierra Mountain (lamb) because it was the only thing he would reliably eat at first.

Now that he’s lost a lot of fat, is more active, and is starting to get some shape, I’m trying to figure out the next step for his diet. He’s still a bit flabby but leaning out. He LOVES to play and chase his brother. His brother is a healthy 55 lbs, and we expect this guy to settle somewhere slightly above that, maybe 55–60 lbs. He even stands taller now that he’s not carrying so much weight.

We live in Taiwan, so food options can be limited but for the most part a lot of the "healthy" brands are here.
These brands are easy to find here: Orijen, Acana, Wellness, Hill’s, Royal Canin, Taste of the Wild, Go!, and occasionally small bags of Pro Plan. Wet food options are limited and mostly only small cans.

His current kibble is:
25% protein, 15% fat, 2611 kcal/kg

I’d appreciate advice on what to consider next — especially around fat content, protein levels, and calories for a dog who’s still trimming down but also active.

Thanks in advance.

Just turned on mega man for the first time. Out of the gate this game is not playing around.

Growing up for whatever reason none of my friends ever had it. We are talking the 80’s and 90’s.

I had no idea what to expect. Unfortunately, I don’t think I have the time for this game.
