What's the most bizarre, confusing and/or infuriating encounters you've ever had in-game?

I'll start.

Be me as ogryn, decide to play sub havoc 20 to help players, farm the "Havoc on Hand 5" penance (help 100 players with their havoc assignment) and to generally have a chill time.

See a havoc 1 in the party finder and decide to join. It's hosted by an absolute specimen of a veteran. Proceed to have one of the most infuriating and befuddling games i've ever had because of said specimen.

  • First problem: constant "I need Ammo!" spam. If he's using a voice line it's that, with a single exception where he requested healing and followed up with a thanks after a medkit was put down. What's shown in the picture is from just a 30 second window. Annoying, but at first i thought it could be a bug from some mod they have at for something. Except...
  • Second problem: biblical levels of greed. Constantly running through, around and away from enemies, hordes and us to get to every chest, ammo and grenade pickup he could see. I, a Ripper gun ogryn, get a total of 4 small ammo pick ups and one use of an ammo crate the entire game, with the second ammo crate he found seemingly disappearing into the ether at some point. I did not see his ammo go down to yellow even once during the game, which leads me to...
  • Third problem: cosmetic veteran. He had a plasma gun, smokes and an unknown melee weapon. He consistently threw all his smokes as soon as he got some (usually in a direction where the enemies aren't, were or seemingly randomly) and i don't know what his melee was because i never actually saw him use it. I never saw his name in the kill feed. Like, i'm genuinely wondering if i'm delusional, just missed it or if he attempted to take the backline role to some form of illogical extreme.

Like, what was this? I don't know if i've gotten across just how bizarre, confusing and infuriating this game was, but it genuinely made me put my controller down for a solid five minutes afterwards and just think before i closed my game.

Have any of you ever experienced something similar?

Purgatus Staff vs Voidblast Staff in Havoc

I've recently returned to playing havoc after about half a year of abstinence, and after giving up on getting anywhere over Havoc 20 since the party finder is ass, and can't decide what to play with: The Purgatus or the Voidblast

I know that the Purgatus is the meta, but having used both extensively in Auric Maelstroms i just find the Voidblast to be better at handling the truly "Oh fuck" situations where 5 Bulwarks, 8 Crushers and 10 Ragers rush your team. Sure the Purgatus can effectively stun entire hordes of poxwalkers, and can stagger rushing ragers and other specials as well, but they're also easily handled by the Voidblast with the added bonus of producing enough stagger to move a mountain (or to just invalidate the aforementioned Bulwarks and Crushers).

Is there something i'm missing/don't know, likely about high havoc since i haven't gotten there, or is this just a case of the Purgatus being an easier weapon to use and therefore being more popular/meta?

Dump stat outliers.

So most people know that the majority of weapons have Mobility (on ranged weapons), Mobility/Defence (on melee weapons) or Warp Resistance (on Psyker weapons) as a dump stat. But what are the outliers and why?

This is the most awkward elevator ride i've ever been in.

Someone please help they're just staring at each other.

The Tancred Bastion, psykers and why were we deemed special.

TL;DR: Psykers are typically kept in black cells or equivalent on the world they are found on until a black ship picks them up, so why are we on the Tancred Bastion and how were we contained? And why were we held in a transfer cell across from Wolfer?

According to lore, as fallible and changeable as it can be at times, unsanctioned psykers who have been captured without a case of Head-be-Gone™ are typically put into black cells, or if the planet is underdeveloped/poor a reinforced cell with sedation or whatever anti-psychic tech they have available, while waiting for a black ship to arrive to pick them up.

But what about the Tancred Bastion? If you play as a psyker you are just placed in what seems like a totally normal cell as if you're a totally normal prisoner.

I would imagine that, as a ship ultimately controlled by the Adeptus Arbites, it would have access to some form of containment option for psykers, even if only for emergency. Perhaps the collars we wear, even though they look identical to ones worn by the other human classes, could have some form of psychic dampening effect which could also explain why we can't use psyker powers (i.e Brain Burst) during the prologue.

Another point for speculation is why we are even on the ship the first place. As i've highlighted, psykers that don't get a bullet to the brain are typically kept contained on the world they are found on, so what could make our circumstances different?

I would ultimately imagine that, pertaining to containment on the Tancred Bastion, theres some equivalent to black cells that they keep psykers in during transit and that the cell we find ourselves in during the prologue is just for transfer seeing how Wolfer, who was to be moved for interrogation, is right across from us. But that leaves the question of why we specifically were placed there seeing how the other rejects seem to be taken en masse to be processed if the constant stream of them in the background of the beginning cutscene is anything to go by.

What do you all think about all this?
