Weird customer quirk I keep experiencing

Does anyone ever have customers ask for like certain parts of an item??

Example, I had someone ask me if they could only have two popsicle sticks from a pack, I said no of course but they seemed almost confused when I explained it. Where has that ever been a thing?? Im not trying to be rude but like it really baffles me sometimes.

Just the other day I had a woman try and return a bottle of used clothes dye because it wasnt the color she needed, and when I told her we cant accept open and used products like dye she got annoyed and said “but I only used a little bit?” Like yeah you did but we cant put that back on the shelf??

I try to be understanding when someone has questions or even a silly question, I have those all the time. Sometimes people surprise me.

I had a journey yesterday with this white lace top from Wild Fable. Here it is in three parts:

  1. I originally added way too much apple green dye, my goal was for the color to be more accurate to the bottle, and it came out very dark.
  2. I used Rit Dye color remover to try and lighten it, but realized it would be splotchy anyways so tried to remove as much color as possible to restart, leaving the lace a strong yellow and the shirt a pale yellow.
  3. Used the actual recommended amount of apple green dye and the result is this lime green.

I don’t dislike the color it’s a lot closer to my goal! But I feel tempted to add just a SMIDGE of another color to try and even out the tone a bit and make it cooler. The last three images are examples closer to what I was envisioning

I don’t expect to get the bottle color anymore, but does anyone have any color suggestions to add a to this without it getting too dark?

Please note I am aiming to use specifically Rit dye because I work at a craft store and get a discount on products we sell lol
