When Ginny meets an untimely death, Harry goes to the underworld to get her back. (My first Hinny fic!!)

I have posted my first chapter of my first Hinny fanfic — and my first multichapter fic in a very long time! I'm extremely excited about it. I even made a moodboard 🤩

It's called More Than Life by ramar on Ao3. (I've just linked my username to avoid any accidental rule violation with linking to M-rated fic. It's M-rated due to violence/horror, language, and consensual but non-smutty scenes between adults. Thank you those of you who gave me advice on this in my previous post.)

Excerpt of my writing (from future chapter) & Summary:

>“I’ve been dreaming about her,” Harry admitted. “Dreams where she’s still here.” > >“That’s just as well.” Luna nodded. “She’s not really gone, anyway, is she?” > >Her gaze had drifted to the fireplace on the other side of Harry, where he had seen the red haired woman. > >“What do you mean, she’s not really gone?” > >“I just mean, she’s not nowhere, is she?” > >Not nowhere. His heart awoke with a cautious beat. Yes, now, definitely, Luna's gaze was at the fireplace. Ginny wasn’t nowhere, but could she really be there? Here? In his chest, cautious beating turned to thrashing; he willed his neck to turn but Luna’s eyes slid back to his. > >“I’ve got to go now, Harry, I’ve got to talk to someone else before I leave. But I will see you soon.” > >Harry took his chance when Luna released him, felt the brush of her hair swirl past him as he cracked his neck to look back at the fireplace. > >But the red haired woman had gone. There was only Ginny’s portrait, half buried in memorial candles, a pile of bright orange flame. > >-- > > Summary: Ginny Weasley meets an untimely death. Upon receiving a mysterious message that she may still be alive, Harry journeys to the Underworld to save her.

Only the prologue is up right now, but I hope you like it :)

Are we allowed to post M rated fanfic here?

Hello ♥️ I just published my first chapter of a longfic I've been working on. It's Hinny and I am so excited about it I'm bursting. Am I able to share it here on this sub if it's rated M?

Reasons for rating:

  • It's got horror/violence elements
  • It's got some adult language
  • It's got some completely consensual, steamy but not smutty interactions between adults

Thank you for your help and guidance 🙏

Edit: Thanks everyone for your help! Made a separate post, but so that everyone who comes here has it as well: The fic is called More Than Life, it's an Orpheus/Eurydice inspired fic. Here is a link to my Ao3 profile so you can find it :)

What types are the most concerned with being FAIR as part of their neurosis?

By "fair" I mean equality. Flatly. In all or most things. So, this could mean being highly concerned with equal rights, or just making sure that when you split a cookie with someone you split it precisely in half down to the crumbs.

Sub questions I'm thinking thru — is "fairness" and "equality" the realm of justice and boundaries (gut triad)? Or is it the superego group, who are concerned with moral rights and wrongs? Both?

Obviously as they're the only ones who do fit both of these categorizations, 1 is the first type that comes to mind. (The notion of "fairness" being something that is according to their personal code — arguably all "fairness" comes down to a subjective code, individual or cultural or situational, but for 1s my understanding is that they see it as universal and inherent.)

If 1s are definitely on the list, who else? In what ways?

If you are a 1, how do you see this playing out? Do you have a code of fairness or equality down to the cookie crumb level, or is it more active at a familial or societal level?

Please also weigh in on you and your type as well — particularly curious on gut or superego types!

The books don’t really sway one particular way or the other — she’s obviously confident, direct, and doesn’t take shit. She’s tough, which Harry suspects is because she grew up with brothers (and which we surmise is also because of what happens with Tom). She’s obviously interested in boys and dating, but not in a way that’s obsessive or even giggly. But in terms of her presentation, it leaves a lot of room for fanfic writers to play with her presentation.

So what do you like to read, or write, or headcanon? Is she a badass feminine force, lipstick and all? Or is she a raised-by-brothers, never-caught-dead-in-pink, looks like she could kill you and would actually kill you kind of tomboy? Or is there a happy middle?

Personally I err on the side of tomboy. I love the idea of her becoming more comfortable with her own girlishness over time. But maybe I’m projecting my own girlhood onto her lol. Thoughts about our girl?
