Mastering the megadrive 150 socket. What a gem. Shout out tojotaroraido on ra for very helpful comments + plug

I guess the story is that you need to fix time somehow by defeating the bosses idk think the story is in the instruction manual.

You play as a duck android and work your way through levels of 3 types highspeed, athletic and labyrinth and ends with a boss fight.

Outside of normal play there is 3 challenges per level and they can be a pain no damage items, check point or bonus room time attack and point bonus for high HP/charge? The HP will drain over time and increase when you pick up lightning bolts so not sure what to call it? There is also no damage and 1 HP left boss fights

Finally there is an almost all check points and the big one complete the game with all bonus areas, no deaths, 300,000 points under 50 mins. Seems like a lot but it's pretty forgiving.

I wanna plug jotaroraido for the comments but also they do really pretty pixel art and I think I might make an account just to get a commission when it opens back up go take a peek you might like there work

Mastering the megadrive 140-149. Easy games and game show stuff. I dont really have much to say about these other then Mickey mouse

Because I know someone is gonna say something about the play time for Mickey's ultimate challenge. It gave me an unwinnable puzzle that I tried to solve for like 2.5+ hours till I got annoyed and plugged it in to a sliding puzzle solver online that told me it was Unsolveable

Mastering the megadrive 139: eliminate down. I don't plan on doing another shoot em up so soon but that cover art there is just something about it...

Lol impure jokes aside this was a good time.

Took me 3 plays to get hard mode down, knowing beginner traps, boss movements, ect

I might have had it in 2 plays but the last boss has a timer and on hard mode if you are underpowered it will rob every life you have.

Mastering the megadrive 137 &138 DJ boy, dahna

Dj boy is a odd game auto scrolling beat em up took me a few attempts to get used to how attacks work not super hard but is pretty mean in level 2 not a fan of darkness for like half the stage after you get powered up it becomes easier

Dahna is a short 6 levels but they make them pretty difficult not having HP restored after beating a level is pretty annoying. Might have helped to know you can duck then hit down again to lay on your belly a pretty mandatory thing to know. Take things as slow as possible so you don't get over run with enemies

Mastering the megadrive 122 & 123 alien storm And Jimmy whites snooker... I own every tough game I've ever bitched about an apology

Alien storm is quite fun. fight the aliens save the planet from mermen looking gremlins and cronenberg looking monsters.

The robot is your best bet due to a glitch I guess where you can live on 1 HP if you use a screen clear move on death.

Jwws is a port from a PC game and it is no joke the hardest I've ever worked for to get a mastery.

I needed to break out my old mathematics set I had at my mom's house to help aid in every single shot with a total of 36 shot my hands are still shaking from the absolute dread from hitting the shoot button.

I'm gonna go have a beer and then maybe play something super easy

Mastering the megadrive 118 & 119: Michael Jackson's moonwalker & toy story.

Moon walker is so much fun iconic music and dance moves. There are a few "boss fights" that can overwhelm you but outside of that and 5-2 all together it's very fair.

I've never seen the movie that it's based on where he saves the kids and turns into mecha Jackson but I think I'll watch it tonight.

Toy story follows the movie beat for beat with the first movie with the addition of nightmare buzz. They did a great job making this for the time the pseudo 3D looks amazing. Not the biggest fan of the game not rewarding lives when you get a bonus game though

I decided to play these back to back because I found this like a week or so ago when I was doing tmnt fighters. Hope you enjoy it

Mastering the megadrive 117: tmnt tournament fighters. cowabunga!

This is fucking tough the main game is pretty hard if you go into this like a regular fighter.

It has no combo system no wake up and the most effective method is anti air into an infinite chain grab almost every character can do it except for Mike and don as they have long throws that the computer ai will not let you chain Mike can at least follow up his throw with a range special.

Each fighter has 1-3 scripts they will follow so you just need to know how they work especially before trying tournament mode it's 88 fights long and hp recovery only happens when you taunt. Why 88 fights because it has 11 fighters and 8 difficulties.

In case you are wondering all you get at the end is a congratulations text on screen

Mastering the megadrive 116: techno cop

Gore fest I can't think of another game that lets you shoot grandma in the head lol.

took a bunch of playthroughs mainly because if I tried to load a save state to practice it would crash the game so full playthrough only.

Drive to the crime and hunt down the criminal pay attention to what you need to do if you kill when you should catch them you will not get a promotion and won't get the title of techno cop

Mastering the megadrive 115: target earth

Not once did I complete this normally might have been able to do it but if you clear the first stage with only the warship defeated (main objective) you get an all items unlocked. Does not carry over with a continue but with the random nature of how enemies spawn you can't really in its almost mandatory for a hyper run

Mastering the megadrive 113 -114 flicky & cyborg justice

Flicky: fun arcade game not really much to say on it get the chicks get to the goal. There is a bikini girl that might pop up and dance in a window and give you lots of points if you do well enough I have no idea what the conditions to get it to trigger

Cyborg justice: very surprised on how many people love this game I might have seen it once before picking it up the other day.

fighting normal for my first few attempts I thought it was gonna be really tough the late game cyborgs have crazy amounts of health and I'm sitting there doing chip damage till I hit a boss that ripped me apart... Even if you have max lives that's a game over and I was like oooohhhh once I learned to bait and rip every enemy like that except the stage bosses it's a cake walk.

Mastering the megadrive 112 bonkers: what happened here it's so awful /link to a clip from the show is how I feel about this game

It's so god damn awful everything is so fucking hard to get a hold of even on normal mode. 4 game modes and 15 rounds back to back each takes forever just to die near the end sucks

Game 1 the bag: throw doughnuts at raccoons trying to steal shit and dodge stuff it feels very slippery but once you get used to the shitty controls and the speed I think I just got lucky and only needed 5 attempts for this one

Game 2 the rat: building a brick wall and dodge shit... Wow great game design one of the easy ones to do the 15 rounds on hard. The achievements that made this unbelievably annoying is don't let the rat knock off any bricks 10-12 & 13-15 the loop is like build the wall as much as you can till the rat comes out a full stack can't be knocked off. When he shows up throw bricks at his head for like an hour till he finally decides to fuck off then you are ok to do 2 stacks at most but sometimes he will just show up and fuck the stack up reset. This took me a good while to do

Game 3 the mouse: Find body parts to stop a bomb it's super easy the only thing that took any time was body parts in order no damage but the body parts are always in the same spot so just learning the route

Game 4 the tow truck: this is hell take out the cars then kill the boss not so bad till round 10 when enemies get extremely aggressive you can die in 2 hits. Movement is weird left and right move like you'd expect but if you take a turn off and are facing to the right now left and right move you up and down.

Not one of these are fun mini games and the people that worked on this should feel ashamed they had there name on this slop especially when you look at bonkers on snes they came out the same year

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eCEpYPPt9ek&pp=ygUPYm9ua2VycyBtb21lbnRz0gcJCSgLAYcqIYzv go to 3:00 for how I feel about this game

Mastering the megadrive 111 Chuck rock 2 son of chuck. better then the first game

This was pretty fun I learned my lesson from the first game and did a cheat playthrough first then knowing where everything is I did the main 1cc challenge.

They did a great job on the bosses and big stuff giving stuff depth.

There were a few times I was going through I didn't understand what to do to progress It took me a bit to figure out what the game wanted me to do. Other than that just practicing boss fights for no damage.

Mastering the megadrive 109&110 puyo puyo & puyo puyo tsuu my god it's finally over

Puyo 1 nice warm up had to shake off the rust a bit but not too bad. 1cc wasn't nearly as rough as mean bean I had tackled before.

Puyo tsuu... My fucking God. I looked at that and thought it's a cake walk there isn't even a 1cc. I was so wrong.

Not only is there a git gud 1cc but there is a point requirement on top of that took me 4 days but the worst part is the secret fights.

you need to play poorly so you don't rank up but not so bad that you die because any points you get gives you exp towards a rank if you do any chain or fast fall that's exp and you just lost some wiggle room.

Mastering the megadrive: 108 ayrton senna's super Monaco GP 2 my thumb hurts

6 laps is too fucking long and trying to pass from middle of the pack is annoying as hell once you rank up it's not so bad. A lot of practice for most tracks.

The 2 of the hardest achievements are the driving school start in 1st and never go past 5th gear and the pit top 6 idk why there even is a pit it was never used once except for the achievement you have to be so far ahead I think I was like 12 seconds ahead and only just made 6th

Mastering the megadrive 107 the art of fighting. Guys I might be a fake gamer...

So there is 2 versions of art of fighting Jap has the normal mode I guess and the usa the hard mode version with a 2 continue limit.

Now I had the usa ver so I started to practice the best I could do was make it to the 2nd to last guy where I was pushed into the corner and skull fucked for 6 rounds once you are there you can't get out he has longer range wall kicks don't work and dp won't reach even if you still have any sprit left.

at that point I switched to the jap and it was a cake walk in comparison

Mastering the megadrive 104-106 thunder force trilogy

I got recommend to play 4 by someone on ra so I thought start from the beginning there is no part 1 on genesis

2 has two types of levels top down view where you move in 8 directions and it is very easy to get lost with your standard sm'up levels for the second part. Level 3 in particular is a maze that I think you have to take a death to complete because it's walled off everywhere I looked.

3 got rid of the over head levels and is just a standard sm'up only took a few runs to master with some mop up stuff and is quite generous with the extra lives only needed to use a continue once to beat maniac mode.

4 oh my god this was rough the levels are about 3 screens tall and took me 3 days to get maniac mode 1cc. You can have 4 lives to start 3 lives from points and anything after that is 1 up pick ups.

Having 15 lives at once is painful you need to know where pretty much every life is to do this the earliest you can get this is level 7 or 8 almost the end of the game.

The last ones I got were the 1 weapon challenges use only x weapon for levels between 6-10 this is a lie it only works on levels 7,8 &10 and to even attempt you need to play over half the game. The last achievement on there was for points but there was a cheese spot in level 1 that made that a joke rubberband and fast forward for an hour and it's done
