I have been thinking about the best way to choose fabric and block combinations for my ice cream soda quilt and thought I'd see what other people do. I've cut and basted all the shapes, made all of the central stars and have made about ten blocks so far. I was thinking how I don't want to end up with bad combos of fabric at the end so considering planning our combinations a bit in advance. I also thought maybe just doing all the second layers first and then third layers last might be a good option.

However I'll do it I think it'll look good so I'm not too worried but just wondering what everyone else's process looks like?

I was in a bit of a rush at one point over the weekend and went past a stall with really nice ceramic/pottery dice rolling bowls - I've looked through exhibitor lists and their websites and the annotated maps but can't find anything - it wasn't Haus of the Banshee which came up a few times.

If anyone remembers the stall I'm talking about please let me know!
