[Serious] If McDavid was traded during the final year of his contract, what realistic package can you see the Oilers getting?

If during the 2027-28 season McDavid changes his mind about Babcock, does not see the Oilers as a realistic team to get him a Cup anymore and tells the organization that he will not re-sign for the upcoming season.

Do you think the PWHL can be as big as the NHL one day?

The PWHL has existed for 3 seasons now. In their first season, an average PWHL game was getting about a quarter of the attendance of an average NHL game. In this latest third season, an average PWHL game is getting about half the attendance of an average NHL game.

After just 3 seasons, they have grown significantly. The NHL had of advantage of existing for over a hundred years. From the previous season to the latest season, the PWHL increased by 28% in average attendance while the NHL increased by less than 0.5%. The PWHL is catching up quickly.

Why is the U.S better at making hockey teams but Canada is better at producing elite players?

U.S won the 2026 winter Olympics hockey, so they are currently the best country at making a hockey team. But if you look at the very best players in the world, they are usually Canadian which shown by the last few first overall picks.
