Advice for an American traveler?
Hello everyone, I will be visiting Uganda for 2 weeks in September and I am seeking advice for what to do there. I will be staying in Kampala for a couple days to see the city, Kabaka’s palace etc., then I plan on making my way east to visit an Abayudaya Jewish community somewhere hopefully.
I think Uganda is a beautiful and fascinating country, and I have read quite a bit about the history of the region so I am interested in doing things related to that. I am also more of an adventurous type, not so much into tours where people tell you what to do the entire time, although I wouldn’t be opposed to a little of that.
I also would like to see some of the national parks, whichever might be the most “wild” so to speak. I am curious to see the north as well, as I have read about the differences between the north and south so I would like to see both. I am not sure where to go there however.
I am also wondering what the best way to travel long distances is, bus? If it matters for safety I am a young adult and white.
